Top 4 Home-made Tulsi Face Packs!

Tulsi is a herb which is native to the Indian subcontinent. It is considered a very pious plant in India according to Hinduism. In fact, it is worshipped by Hindu people. It is from the family Lamiaceae and is known as holy basil. It has a special place in Ayurveda and has been widely used as a herbal medicine all over India.

It finds a place in CharakaSamhita which is an Ayurvedic text. This is because of its distinctive healing properties. Due to this, it is adopted by medical researchers and made a part of the compositions of medicines and other skin care products.

Today we shall discuss the various types of tulsi packs that can be used at home without a great deal of effort.

1. Neem, tulsi and sandalwood powder- Tulsi and neem both are induced with antibacterial properties. This helps in preventing acne, pimples and other bacterial skin infections. A combination of neem, tulsi and sandalwood powder can heal the existing acne and prevent further popping of acne and pimples.

How to use- Take some 9-10 tulsi and neem leaves. Grind these leaves in a grinder. Add sandalwood powder to this mixture along with rose water. Mix the ingredients and apply all over the face. Leave it on the face till the paste dries. Wash with water and apply a gentle moisturiser.

2. Tulsi and MultaniMitti pack
- Multanimitti is a wonderful substance for extracting extra oils from the skin. This helps in maintaining oil balance in the skin and preventing skin issues like blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, etc.

How to use- Take some tulsi leaves and grind them into a paste. Add Multanimitti powder and rose water to this paste. Mix the ingredients properly and apply on the face and neck. Leave the paste until it dries out. Rinse with water and nourish with a water-based moisturiser.

3. Curd and tulsi Pack- Curd nourishes the skin deeply. When mixed and applied with tulsi, it leaves a moisturised and supple skin.

How to use- Take some tulsi leaves and grind them into a paste. Add curd to this paste and blend properly. Apply this paste all over the face and neck, leave for 20-30 minutes. After 30 minutes, wash with lukewarm water. Pat dry and apply pure natural moisturiser on the face.

4. Tulsi and besan pack- Besan has anti-tanning properties. It is known for brightening effects on the skin. When applied in combination with tulsi, it gives a fresh look on the face.

How to use- take some tulsi leaves. Grind them into a paste. Add besan to this paste and mix the mixture properly. Add few drops of honey to it. Mix the ingredients properly. Apply this paste on the face and leave for 10-15 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water and enjoy the freshness.
